Shimba Hills Day Trip

Overview

This half-day private safari to Shimba Hills offers a unique opportunity to explore one of Kenya’s smaller game reserves. Located 47 kilometers from Diani Beach, the reserve is about an hour’s drive from most of the Diani beach resorts.

Itinerary

Pick up from your beach resort is scheduled for 07:00 AM. The tour does not include lunch and is priced at $180 per person.

Shimba Hills Game Reserve

Shimba Hills is renowned for its thriving rainforest and spectacular views. The reserve is especially famous for the Sable Antelope, a species that can only be found in this park. While the reserve does not have any big cats such as lions or cheetahs, visitors can still encounter a variety of wildlife including giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, antelopes, monkeys, and baboons.

After the walk drive back down to Diani beach.
